A Day at the Gallery – Made Perfect with Picture Lights

My family went to the art gallery last weekend.  For fun, we each studied a few paintings and authors prior to the visit so that we could talk about them while we were there.  I was struck by how the lighting of the gallery, using high powered Picture Lights , made each painting so much more beautiful than the pictures in the books.

Here is what my son wrote about a famous painting…  Tornado Over Kansas was a painting by the artist John Stuert Curry.  This artist grew up in the early 20th century.  He was commission to paint a mural for his home town states state house.  Instead he painted a scene of an impending tornado.  The picture also showed a family escaping their house and entering an outside cellar door for protection.  It was not a popular painting to the residents of Kansas.  They thought it would make people think that Kansas was not a good place to live.
