Drought Dashes Tomatoes

Last summer our area suffered a severe drought. Because of the drought, our tomatoes suffered a blossom end rot.  The plant calcium level dropped due to the drought and this in turn cause the rotting problem.  This summer however, we have had a lot more rain than last and have a much better crop.  I take a lot of pride in my tomatoes so I was happy to see how much better they did. If I see this type of problem again, at least I will know what the problem is and be able to purchase the right kind of nutrients for them.
