Sand Fleas Are Invisible Pain
One of the most common, and most annoying, types of bug bites are sand flea bites. sand fleas are very tiny and are invisible to the unaided eye. Their bites are usually painless at first, until a few days later when an allergic reaction causes the person who’s been bitten to experience relentless itching. Unfortunately, there is no real cure for the bites, although some over-the-counter treatments such as calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream may relieve the itching. These little bugs are abundant in gardens and sometimes yards, as I found out the hard way last year while working in my yard. The best defense is to wear long sleeves and pants and to use a bug spray to repel the bugs and prevent the bites in the first place.
