Civil Air Patrol Uniforms

While I have heard of the Civil Air Patrol, I never really gave the organization much thought until recently when they were involved with a search and rescue operation in  my area. I did a little reading on the organization and found out that they actually have a uniform modeled after regular United State Air Force uniforms. In fact, they even have a  Civil Air Patrol store where they sell all sorts of uniforms and uniform related supplies. It also got me to thinking about just how many people are actually involved in the Civil Air Patrol around the country and, specifically, how many people from my area are involved.
