1952 Hypnotism Act Revised

In case you didnt know, the 1952 Hypnotism Act for Stage Hypnotists was revised in 1996.

This act was setup to regulate and monitor the practice of Stage Hypnosis, after many stage hypnotists were abusing their powers and completely humiliating their volunteers on stage in front of audiences of thousands.

The act was set out to regulate the art, and hypnotists must abide by these rules. This is different from hypnotherapy which is about giving people control, whereas stage hypnosis is about taking control of the minds of the volunteers.
