Cost of a new computer
When you really start looking at the cost of a computer, it is amazing that the actual PC isn’t the most expensive part. The warantee and software are often more expensive than the hardware itself. This is amazing. Could you imagine buying a car and having more than half the cost tied up in getting them to agree to fix it if it breaks or to get them to put in seats to make it useful? This is especially true at the low end of the PC market. The higher end it is less so, but still works the same way.
