Could Google Buzz End Up Wrecking gmail?
Why is it that if someone else does something well, Internet-wise, Google has to try to compete? And it may well be that google buzz will beat both Facebook and Twitter in time, but I’m not convinced. To me the idea of Twitter-style micro blogging and e-mail just don’t belong together. I think a lot of Buzz users would be a lot happier to see a separate Buzz from gmail. Gmail is one of Google’s rare success stories. Adding Buzz to gmail might be good for Buzz, but end up ruining gmail. Google’s desire to get rid of Twitter and Facebook might end up wrecking gmail instead.
